  • Candidates will be entitled to pension under the New Restructured Defined Contributory Pension Scheme applicable to all Central Government employees who joined on or after 01/01/2004.

Eligibility Conditions / पात्रता शर्तें

1. Age Limit / आयु सीमा:

  • Maximum Age: 35 years (as of 24.12.2024).

2. Educational Qualifications / शैक्षिक योग्यता:

  • Essential / अनिवार्य:
    i. Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from a recognized university.
    (किसी मान्यता प्राप्त विश्वविद्यालय से वेटरनरी साइंस और एनिमल हसबेंड्री में स्नातक डिग्री।)
    ii. Registration with the Veterinary Council of India (VCI).

3. Cut-off Date for Age & Relaxation / आयु और छूट के लिए कट-ऑफ तिथि:

  • Crucial Date: 24.12.2024 (Closing Date of Application).
    • Candidates should not have been born earlier than 24.12.1989 and later than 24.12.2006.

  1. Date of Birth Proof / जन्म तिथि का प्रमाण:

    • The date of birth recorded in the Matriculation Certificate at the time of application submission will be considered final.

  2. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate / ओबीसी (गैर-क्रीमी लेयर) प्रमाणपत्र:

    • Must be based on income for the financial years 2021-22, 2022-23, and 2023-24.
    • Should be issued on or after 01.04.2024 but not later than the closing date 24.12.2024.

2. Definition of Ex-Serviceman / भूतपूर्व सैनिक की परिभाषा:

An Ex-Serviceman is defined as a person who:

  1. Has served in the Regular Army, Navy, or Air Force of the Indian Union in any rank (combatant or non-combatant), and:

    • Has retired or been relieved/discharged after earning a pension, or
    • Has been released on medical grounds due to service-related injuries and awarded a disability pension, or
    • Has been released due to a reduction in the establishment.

  2. Personnel of the Territorial Army, including pension holders for continuous or qualifying service.

  3. Personnel of the Army Postal Service, retired or released on medical grounds or with a disability pension.

  4. Gallantry award winners of the Armed Forces.

  5. Ex-recruits, boarded out or relieved due to medical disability and awarded a disability pension.

Physical Standards / शारीरिक मानक

The minimum physical standards for candidates across all categories are outlined below:

1. Height / ऊंचाई:

  • Male / पुरुष उम्मीदवार: 157.5 cm
  • Female / महिला उम्मीदवार: 142 cm
  • Relaxation:
    • 2 cm relaxation for Gorkhas, Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Dogras, Marathas.
    • 3 cm relaxation for Adivasis (Scheduled Tribes).
      (गोरखा, गढ़वाली, कुमाऊंनी, डोगरा, मराठा के लिए 2 सेमी और आदिवासियों के लिए 3 सेमी की छूट।)

2. Chest (Male Candidates Only) / छाती (केवल पुरुष उम्मीदवार):

Medical Standards / चिकित्सा मानक:

The medical examination will follow uniform guidelines as per CAPFs & ARs instructions:

1. Eye Sight / दृष्टि:

  • Near Vision (Without Glasses) / पास की दृष्टि (बिना चश्मे के):
    • Better Eye: N6
    • Worse Eye: N9
  • Distant Vision (Without Glasses) / दूर की दृष्टि (बिना चश्मे के):
    • Better Eye: 6/6
    • Worse Eye: 6/12
  • Other Eye Conditions / अन्य नेत्र स्थितियां:
    • Hypermetropia: +3.5DS
    • Myopia: -4.50DS (including Astigmatism +/- 1.50)
    • Colour Vision: CP-III (Ishihara Plates)
    • Binocular Vision is required.

2. General Medical Conditions / सामान्य चिकित्सा स्थितियां:

  • Candidates must meet the medical fitness standards prescribed for Medical Officer posts as per Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) guidelines.
  • The medical fitness will be assessed following CAPFs and ARs guidelines circulated by ADG (Medical) dated 26.05.2015.



How to Apply and By Which Date / आवेदन कैसे करें और किस तिथि तक

a) Eligible and interested candidates need to apply online through the ITBPF website: https://recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in. Candidates should fill out the online application form only after carefully reading the instructions and provide a genuine and functional e-mail ID and mobile number at the time of filling the form. All details in various segments should be mentioned clearly, accurately, and logically. Since applications are to be submitted online only, offline applications will not be accepted and will be rejected outright.

a) पात्र और इच्छुक उम्मीदवारों को ITBPF वेबसाइट https://recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in के माध्यम से ऑनलाइन आवेदन करना होगा। उम्मीदवारों को ऑनलाइन आवेदन पत्र भरने से पहले निर्देशों को ध्यान से पढ़ने के बाद ही आवेदन करना चाहिए और आवेदन भरते समय सत्यापित और कार्यशील ई-मेल आईडी और मोबाइल नंबर प्रदान करना चाहिए। आवेदन पत्र में विभिन्न खंडों में दी गई जानकारी को स्पष्ट, सही और तार्किक रूप से भरें। चूंकि आवेदन केवल ऑनलाइन ही स्वीकार किए जाएंगे, ऑफलाइन आवेदन स्वीकार नहीं किए जाएंगे और उन्हें सीधे अस्वीकार कर दिया जाएगा।

Important Instructions / महत्वपूर्ण निर्देश

  • Candidates must fill all required information such as Gender/Category (UR/SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS, etc.), Employment status, Riots affected, etc., in the profile created on the ITBPF recruitment website before submitting the online application.

  • Any false/incorrect information in the application will lead to the cancellation of candidature, and no request for changes in such details will be considered at later stages.

  • उम्मीदवारों को सभी आवश्यक जानकारी जैसे लिंग/ श्रेणी (UR/SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS आदि), रोजगार स्थिति, दंगे प्रभावित, आदि, ITBPF भर्ती वेबसाइट पर बनाए गए प्रोफाइल में ऑनलाइन आवेदन सबमिट करने से पहले भरनी होगी।

Application Fee & Mode of Payment / आवेदन शुल्क और भुगतान का तरीका

  • Male candidates from UR, OBC, and EWS categories will have to pay a fee of Rs. 400/- through the online payment gateway on the ITBPF website: https://recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in. Applications with any other mode of fee payment will be rejected.

  • Candidates belonging to SC, ST, Female, and Ex-servicemen categories are exempted from paying the application fee.

  • महिला उम्मीदवारों और SC, ST, और Ex-Servicemen श्रेणियों के उम्मीदवारों को आवेदन शुल्क का भुगतान नहीं करना होगा।

  • Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Payment made by other modes will be rejected and will be forfeited.

  • Candidates who fail to submit the NOC at the time of verification will have their candidature rejected.

Selection Process / चयन प्रक्रिया

  • Admit Cards will be issued online, mentioning the venue of the recruitment test. Candidates' candidature will remain provisional until they are finally selected and their original documents/certificates are verified.

  • Candidates must bring a clear and legible printout of the application form and admit card. Without this, they will not be allowed entry to the venue of the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST).

Note:

  1. Identity Verification: Before the PET/PST starts, candidates will undergo a thorough verification process, including biometric capture.
  2. Biometric Verification: Biometric identification may be verified at any stage of recruitment. Candidates must ensure that their fingerprints can be captured. If mehndi, wax, etc., prevent the fingerprint capture, they will not be allowed to take the exam.
  3. Failure in Biometric Verification: Any failure in biometric verification will result in cancellation of candidature.

  1. Click on New Registration (नया पंजीकरण)।

Recruitment Tests and PET Details / भर्ती परीक्षा और PET विवरण

Candidates will have to undergo the following recruitment tests:

    • Race 100 Mtrs: To be completed within 16 seconds.
    • Race 800 Mtrs: To be completed within 3 minutes 45 seconds.
    • Long Jump: 3.5 Mtrs (3 chances to be given).
    • Shot Put: 4.5 Mtrs (7.26 Kgs).

  • For Female Candidates / महिला उम्मीदवारों के लिए:

    • Race 100 Mtrs: To be completed within 18 seconds.
    • Race 800 Mtrs: To be completed within 4 minutes 45 seconds.
    • Long Jump: 3 Mtrs (3 chances to be given).

  • पुरुष उम्मीदवारों के लिए:

Important Notes / महत्वपूर्ण नोट्स:

  1. Qualifying Test: No marks will be awarded for the PET; it is a qualifying test. Candidates must qualify in each event, and those who do not qualify will be eliminated.

  2. Pregnancy Declaration for Female Candidates:

    • Female candidates must submit a self-declaration about their pregnancy status at the time of the PET/PST.
    • If the candidate declares that she is not pregnant, she may participate in the PET/PST.
    • In case of false declaration, the risk will be on the candidate.
    • If a female candidate declares that she is pregnant before the PET/PST, a confirmatory pregnancy test will be conducted. If found pregnant, she will be declared temporarily unfit until confinement is over.
      • The vacancy will remain reserved for her, and she will be re-examined six weeks after confinement.
      • If she is found fit, she may be appointed to the reserved post and benefit from seniority.

  3. Ex-Servicemen: Ex-servicemen are exempt from PET but must qualify in the PST, Written Examination, Documentation, and Medical Examination.

  1. योग्यता परीक्षा: PET के लिए कोई अंक नहीं दिए जाएंगे, यह योग्यता परीक्षा है। उम्मीदवारों को प्रत्येक इवेंट को पास करना होगा, और जो उम्मीदवार अयोग्य होंगे उन्हें निकाल दिया जाएगा।

  2. महिला उम्मीदवारों के लिए गर्भावस्था घोषणा:

    • महिला उम्मीदवारों को PET/PST के दौरान अपनी गर्भावस्था स्थिति की स्व-घोषणा देनी होगी।
    • यदि उम्मीदवार कहती है कि वह गर्भवती नहीं है, तो उसे PET/PST में भाग लेने की अनुमति दी जाएगी।

B. Physical Standard Test (PST) / शारीरिक मानक परीक्षण (PST)

Candidates whose applications are found in order will undergo a Physical Standard Test (PST). The test will include measurements of height, chest, and weight. Candidates who do not meet the required physical standards will be eliminated from the process at this stage.

Medical Standards / चिकित्सा मानक


The weight of candidates should be proportionate to their height and age as per medical standards. These standards are as prescribed by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for the post of Medical Officer in letter No. 1-45223/1@2013/Pers-II dated 11/2/2013.

Biometric Identification / बायोमेट्रिक पहचान


Candidates who qualify in the Physical Standard Test (PST) will undergo biometric identification to prevent impersonation during the recruitment process.

Candidates who qualify in PET/PST must appear for a written examination, which will include the following:

The original documents of candidates will be verified by the Board of Officers before the interview. After verification, the original documents will be returned to the candidates, and photocopies will be retained with the application form. Non-production of original documents will lead to disqualification.

Candidates who qualify the written examination and are equal to five times the number of advertised vacancies in each category will be called for an interview.

The interview will consist of the following components:

Only experience in veterinary care, treatment, and management of animals will be considered for these marks. Experience in unrelated fields like slaughterhouses, sales in pharmaceutical sectors, or meat processing companies will not be counted.

Unrelated qualifications, such as PG in Livestock Products Technology (LPT) or Veterinary Extension (VE), will not be considered.

Merit List / मेरिट सूची

Merit lists will be prepared for each category, namely UR, EWS, Ex-Servicemen, SC, ST, and OBC(NCL), based on the total marks obtained by candidates in the written examination and interview.

Candidates from SC, ST, EWS, and OBC(NCL) categories who are selected on their own merit without availing of relaxed standards will not be adjusted against reserved vacancies. These candidates will be accommodated in general/unreserved vacancies as per their position in the overall merit list.

Based on this merit, candidates will be shortlisted for the Detailed Medical Examination (DME) as per category-wise vacancies. The number of candidates called for DME will be enhanced by 100% to account for potential failures in DME or Review Medical Examination (RME).

Resolution of Tie Cases / टाई मामलों का समाधान

In case of a tie in marks, the following criteria will be used to resolve it:

  1. Older age candidates will be ranked higher in the merit list.
  2. If the tie still persists, the candidate whose name appears first in alphabetical order (English) will be ranked higher.

अंकों में टाई होने पर, इसे हल करने के लिए निम्नलिखित मानदंड लागू होंगे:

Medical Examination (DME) / चिकित्सा परीक्षा (DME)

Candidates shortlisted for DME based on category-wise vacancies and marks secured in the written examination and interview will undergo a medical examination. This will assess their fitness for appointment in ITBP as per the prescribed standards.

लिखित परीक्षा और साक्षात्कार में प्राप्त अंकों के आधार पर श्रेणीवार रिक्तियों के लिए शॉर्टलिस्ट किए गए उम्मीदवारों की चिकित्सा परीक्षा (DME) की जाएगी। यह परीक्षा ITBP में नियुक्ति के लिए निर्धारित मानकों के अनुसार उनकी शारीरिक फिटनेस का मूल्यांकन करेगी।



Review Medical Examination (RME) / पुनरीक्षण चिकित्सा परीक्षा (RME)

(i) Candidates who are declared unfit during the Detailed Medical Examination (DME) will be allowed to undergo a Review Medical Examination (RME). This will require the candidate's written consent, which must include their signature on the intimation form detailing the reasons for unfitness, as per Annexure-'VII'.

(i) जिन उम्मीदवारों को विस्तृत चिकित्सा परीक्षा (DME) के दौरान अयोग्य घोषित किया गया है, उन्हें पुनरीक्षण चिकित्सा परीक्षा (RME) का अवसर दिया जाएगा। इसके लिए उम्मीदवार को एक लिखित सहमति देनी होगी, जिसमें Annexure-'VII' के अनुसार अयोग्यता के कारणों का उल्लेख होगा और उम्मीदवार के हस्ताक्षर शामिल होंगे।

(ii) The process for filing an appeal for RME will be explained to the candidates declared unfit in DME at the venue itself.

(iii) The RME will ideally be conducted the next day of the DME. Candidates must submit their signed consent form (as per Annexure-'VII') within 24 hours of being informed of their unfitness in DME. The data of such candidates will be forwarded by the Presiding Officer to the RME Board for further evaluation.

(iv) There will be no provision for "Temporary Unfit". Medical officers must declare candidates as either "FIT" or "UNFIT" after examination.

(iv) "अस्थायी रूप से अयोग्य" की कोई व्यवस्था नहीं होगी। चिकित्सा अधिकारियों को प्रत्येक उम्मीदवार को "योग्य" या "अयोग्य" घोषित करना होगा।

(v) The decision of the ITBPF Board of Medical Officers will be final in determining a candidate's fitness or unfitness in both DME and RME.
